Neiman Marcus Fantasy Gifts

Each year, the ever-savvy folks at Neiman Marcus publish the Christmas catalogue. A tradition offered in the catalogue is the fantasy gift section. In this section, you'll find fantastic items that would make even a billionaire green with envy.  Here is a highlight over the last few years' fabulous fantasy finds. I wait with baited breath to see this years' new list!!


2006 

This limited edition, 2007 BMW M6 convertible has a 5.0 liter, V10 engine, giving it 500 horsepower.  There were only 50 of this fantastic car created.  Included in the price, were two business-class tickets to Munich from New York, luxury accommodations for four nights, and dinner with the creative engineers behind its design. $139,000.

This one-of-a-lifetime gift features an experience that is truly out of this world. For a mere $1.7 million, you had the opportunity to charter the Virgin Galactic to space. You and a guest would travel 63 miles above sea level, and upon your return, enjoy an all-inclusive four nights on Necker Island, Richard Branson's private island retreat in the British Virgin Islands.

This quad, the Gg, was said to have been one of a kind because if its handling ability, which was like that of a motorcycle, and its performance of a European sports car. Completely street-legal, this quad would have set the buyer back $56,465.

2009

This Icon A5 sports aircraft was offered at $250,000 had the ability to take off from land or water. This aircraft flies under 10,000 feet, and the option to power by automotive gas. Included in the price was pilot training for two.

Mission One, the world's fastest electric motorcycle of the time, and one of only 10 made for Neiman Marcus, had a speed of up to 150 mph. Included in the price of $73,000, the buyer received tickets to San Francisco to meet designer Yves Behar, one-on-one training, and a pro test-drive.

This 2010 Supercharged Neiman Marcus edition Jaguar XJL featured a 5-liter V8 engine and 470 horsepower. One of only 50 ever made, this gift included a five piece luggage set; making you ever so ready for your excursion.  All for $105,000

2010

How would you like to troll on this fantastic houseboat?  This his and hers metroship featured a 48 foot by 12 foot open floorplan and 7 foot ceilings. Also, for its $250,000 price tag, you received a top-of-the-line Bang and Olufsen stereo, a high definition projector, and a Nintendo wii.

With this gift, you can indulge your inner whimsy, your sweet tooth, or simply live vicariously through a special little person in your life. This edible gingerbread house, made from 381 pounds of gourmet gingerbread and 517 pounds of royal icing, was constructed by the talented confectioners at Dylan's Candy bar. $15,000

Art lovers would truly appreciate the opportunity to have renowned artist Dave Chichuly commission their pool. Known for glass designs such as the crystal trees of light at the White House, this included a design of up to 22 feet by 12 fleet for $1,500,000

2012

This water-propelled JetLev R200 jet pack included two helmet radios, personal pilot certification, as well as safety training. Also included for the $99,500 price, Neiman Marcus agreed to donate $2,500 to the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County, Florida.

The limited Neiman Marcus McLaren 12c Spider, featuring twin V8 engines and 616 horsepower, could go from 0 to 60 in 3.2 seconds. This edition, of which only 12 were made, included two business-class tickets to England, dinner with McLaren chairman Rob Dennis, and a tour of the McLaren technology center. Neiman Marcus also donated $3000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters as an incentive.
